MAVeC'19 was Malaysia's first autonomous vehicle (AV) technology competition, organized by SAE Malaysia and International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) under the patronage of the Malaysia Automotive Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii).
Twelve university teams competed in a series of AV challenges designed to test system integration and smart vehicle behaviours, including lane-keeping (Speedway), traffic assist (Urban Drive), and automated parking using AVM-based systems.
The competition was held alongside the Malaysia Autoshow 2019, giving participants national-level visibility and exposure to industry professionals.
